Hotel Des Lys - Versailles

The staff provided a detailed map highlighting local attractions, which greatly enhanced our exploration. We enjoyed the daily market atmosphere just steps away from the hotel.

The location was marvellous and lovely for visiting restaurants and eateries very close to the hotel.

Air-conditioned, newly decorated room complete with loads of hot water, bathtube plus the art. The location of the hotel in Versailles is excellent, adjacent to local bars and restaurants.

Rooms on the smaller side. Expect considerable noise from above. Unless you travel with earplugs, it can be a concern. A malfunctioning fridge left perishables at risk-inconvenient when you've got food on hand. Some furnishings, like the lamp and dresser leg, seemed fragile. Be cautious with the billing process. Adjustments aren't straightforward.

I truly enjoyed the hotel, it's good value and the location is amazing very close to the local train stations. There was lots of food for breakfast, including croissants, bread, cereals, fresh fruit and eggs. Location: the property was short walk to palace and restaurants, and main centre and palace.

When I am in Versailles, I like staying here. This modern hotel is based in a nice building and has an authentic restaurant. Great location for visiting Versailles, its next to train station and castle and the bakeries around the market square and a local boulangerie...

The location is certainly decent, being close to the palace, but whoever thought it was acceptable to have rooms this cold clearly lacks warmth themself. On top of that, I expected a complimentary gesture, perhaps a welcome drink or room upgrade, instead of just mediocre treatment. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.

All fine, but smelly hallways

Hotel Des Lys was a good experience with a great central location, just a short walk to the Palace of Versailles. The room offered a comfortable bed and amenities like a fridge. The staff were cute and accommodating.

Limited parking available.

The location was fantastic, just a short stroll to the Royal Tennis Court and the palace. With kids, we appreciated the clean rooms and the fast Wi-Fi which kept them entertained. We also found it handy that it was a quiet place for our little ones.

In my wife's opinion, the bathroom could use better heating.

This was a solid selection for a little getaway in Versailles with high value for money. Check-in was quick and efficient , made the start of our stay smooth. Use the nearby bus to reach the train station easily.

What a lovely experience! The hotel is perfectly situated near fresh food markets and charming patisseries. Enjoyed leisurely strolls to the Palace. Pro tip, don't hesitate to explore nearby historical buildings-you'll discover hidden gems. A great stay for families or anyone seeking local flavor!

great location and service, but room could be bigger

The location was perfect for reaching historical sites and local markets within a short walk. I appreciated the modern bathrooms, as they felt fresh and inviting. The included mini-fridge was a bonus. A detailed map from the staff helped us navigate to local attractions effortlessly.

The room was smaller than I anticipated, which may not suit everyone's preference.

The superior double room was small but efficiently designed, easy to use. Very neat place, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Really liked having a mini-fridge in the room! Though the breakfast selection was decent, it could have been better. I seemed like the room layout was well thought out, but I could see how larger luggage might be a challenge in tighter spaces. A comfortable stay!

This hotel is great, and has excellent wi-fi, luggage storage, and 24-hour reception. The staff helped me with info about the town during my first stay, and I still appreciate their friendly assistance. I recommend it for your next short getaway.
